Japanese Saws

Japanese Saws
Wonderful to use! Unlike western saws they only cut on the pull stroke, which affords many advantages. There is no buckling, binding or wobbling on the cutting stroke so you have great control and expend less effort. The blades are very thin, contributing to the great accuracy. Cuts are made with surprising speed and accuracy. They are used both with larger stock for furniture making and for small, fine work. Most new users become zealous converts and sing the praises of these tools! Blades last a long time and are still useful even if they lose a tooth. They are impractical to sharpen so most people replace them with a new one when necessary (they last a long time). Nokogiri is the Japanese word for saw.
