Basic Woodturning with Rob Pridmore

This is a basic course designed for beginners. This course comprises
10- 3hour session at a cost of $450, with a choice of
9am to 12noon  Wednesday through to Saturday.

Starting dates and days to be discussed with Rob Pridmore.
Maximum  of 4 students per class.

Topics covered include:
Selection of lathe tools
Confident use of tools
Safety in woodturning
Sharpening of chisels
Selecting and completing projects
Sanding and cleaning up
Instruction on suitable timbers for woodturning

Our aim at the completion of the course is that the student will have achieved the following:
Complete 3 projects, a small bowl, a 3 legged stool and a 10" pepper grinder
Demonstrate safe practices in woodturning
Demonstrate an understanding of wood lathes and their accessories
Demonstrate safe and proper use of turning chisels and scrapers
Demonstrate the use of sandpaper and polishes to complete turned work in a professional manner
